The Small Farm Outreach Program (SFOP) at Virginia State University is a critical resource for small-scale, socially disadvantaged, and minority farmers across the Commonwealth. Through Virginia Cooperative Extension, they provide hands-on technical assistance, educational workshops on whole farm planning, mentorship connecting new farmers with experienced producers, and direct help navigating USDA FSA loans and grants like REAP and VAPG.
